GREETING/ 広島中央通商店街振興組合理事長のご挨拶

Chairman:Kato

Hiroshima Chuo-Dori Shopping District Promotion Association Kazuyuki Kato We were founded as an organization of a shopping district, "Chuo-Dori Shopping Association" in 1951, and became present "Hiroshima Chuo-Dori Shopping District Promotion Association" in 1991.
The Chuo-Dori Shopping Street is about three hundred meters long, starting at Fukuya and Yamada Denki, running to 7-ELEVEN and Honshu Kaikan, which is conveniently sited.
Sandwiched between SOGO, Hondori, Kinza-gai from the westside and Mitsukoshi, Nagarekawa, Yagenbori from the eastside, the shopping street is definitely the main shopping district in Hiroshima.
During Yukata de Kinsai Festival (Toukasan) and Ebisu Taisai Festival, the chuo-dori becomes pedestrian zone as the main site for the festivals.
Not only the locals but people from all around Japan get to the area, and we, as the Chuo-Dori Shopping District, do our best to be of help for the visitors.
We aim for "a town of flowers and greenery with enrichment and restfulness" remembering when we were first founded in 1991.
We appreciate your visit and continuous support.
